On the occasion of Junior NTR’s Birthday, Director SS Rajamouli unveils the poster of his upcoming movie, RRR starring Jr. NTR as Komaram Bheem. Today Jr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, also known as Jr.NTR as well as Tarak, turns 38. And his big upcoming project seems to be in motion soon. The film RRR will star Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in lead roles. The movie is produced by D. V. V. Danayya under DVV Entertainments banner. The script is said to have confirmed in 2017 itself, after the release of Rajamouli’s blockbuster Bahubali 2: The Conclusion. In March 2018, SS Rajamouli confirmed that the film will star both Jr. N. T. Rama Rao and Ram Charan.
In March 2019, Rajamouli shared that the film is inspired by The Motorcycle Diaries (2004). In an interview, Rajamouli revealed that he was fascinated by how a character transforms into a revolutionary called Guevara and similarly his characters of the film, the protagonists are portrayed around a common point. The Plot of RRR revolves around…
The plot revolves around their stay in Delhi during the 1920s, before they begin the fight for their country. Although, the story is entirely fictitious and the story will basically portray the friendship between the two characters. “When I read about Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, it was exciting to know that their story is similar. They have never met each other, but what if they had met and inspired each other? That is what RRR is about,” Rajamouli stated.
The film was titled as RRR in its initial stage, and furthermore was later confirmed as the official title. In an interview, Rajamouli says that a universal title was essential for a film of such big scale, across the languages it will be released in. Although, K. V. We all know how secretive Rajamouli can be. With his recent blockbusters like the Bahubali : The Beginning and Bahubali: The Conclusion, he himself has set the bar high for his upcoming projects. He worked for 5 years on these movies, fully dedicated to this project without taking up other projects, and made the movie worth the wait. Even for RRR, Rajamouli has invested about 4 years in it’s making and the audience is waiting for the masterpiece.
In an interview he revealed that the story will revolve around two people who later become freedom fighters, when they meet and their journey together begins in the freedom struggle. The characters are based on real life freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Although there’s no proof that they met in real life, and the story revolving their friendship is entirely fictional. The movie’s backdrop is around before India became Independent, during the 1920s. Two Bollywood stars who will make their Telugu Debut with RRR:
Ram Charan and Jr. NTR will be portraying the young version of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem respectively. And today, on the occasion of Tarak’s birthday, Rajamouli and other star-casts revealed the first look of Tarak as Komaram Bheem. Even Ajay Devgan, who is has an extended cameo in the movie shared the new poster on his social media handles. When asked whether Rajamouli could reveal Ajay’s role, the director said that he can’t do so for the time being. Also, RRR will mark the Telugu debut of Ajay Devgan and Alia Bhatt. Yes, our Bollywood’s two talented stars are making their debut in this upcoming mega-project. Alia Bhatt stars opposite Ram Charan, and Olivia Morris is opposite Jr. NTR. How did Rajamouli feel whilst working with Ram Charan after almost a decade?
The legendary movie that marked Ram Charan as a superstar in the Telugu Industry was none other than Rajamouli’s Magadheera. The movie starred Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. Also Magadheera was Ram’s second movie of his career, and it was a super-hit. On working with Ram almost a decade later, Rajamouli shares that there are a lot of differences in him. During Magadheera, Ram had this rawness in him as an actor, and it was requirement in the movie as well; but in these ten years Ram has evolved as an actor. He now has a subtle approach as an actor, a maturity while playing his roles and he has become versatile than before as well.
RRR Release date:
Earlier the movie was scheduled to release in January 2021, but with the first wave of COVID 19, the released was postponed. Although the movie is now set to release in October 2021, it seems there will be further pushing around of dates; as the second wave has hit harder than the first COVID wave. We can expect the movie release to have a theatrical release in the late 2021 or early 2022, according to the COVID situation in the country. As RRR is not a movie that will have an OTT release, because it’s not just about the money, but also the reputation of Rajamouli as a director. A movie with so much efforts put in, for almost 4 years, and will be a sure hit Blockbuster, cannot afford to have an OTT release.
